What is an App Store lookup?
An App Store lookup shows the public details of an iPhone, iPad or Mac app using its numeric app ID. This tool lays out those details on one uncluttered page, so you can check an app's rating, reviews, price, size, languages and chart ranking without opening the App Store app.
How to find an app's ID and use this tool
- Open the app's App Store page and copy its share link, or copy the address from apps.apple.com in your browser.
- Paste the link or the ID into the box at the top. The ID is the number after the letters
idat the end of the link. - Choose a country and press Look up to see ratings, reviews, rankings and details.
- Are you a developer? Any one of your app IDs also shows your developer stats and all of your apps, latest update first.

For app developers: see all your apps and the latest updates
Developers only need to enter one of their app IDs. The page automatically shows developer stats, including total ratings, weighted average rating, the most recent update, apps updated in the last 90 days and apps not updated in over a year, followed by every app from the same developer with the most recently updated first. Each app is one click away, so you can quickly check how your latest release is being rated, read new reviews, and see how each app ranks. Sort by latest update, most ratings, top rated or name, and filter by app name.
The tool also remembers your last few lookups in your browser, so your apps are quick to reopen. Nothing is uploaded or stored on a server.
Frequently asked questions
What is an App Store app ID?
An App Store app ID is the number Apple assigns to each app. You can find it at the end of any App Store link, right after the letters id, for example apps.apple.com/us/app/example/id1234567890.
Is this App Store lookup free?
Yes. The tool is free and needs no sign-up.
Can I see how many times an app has been downloaded?
No. Apple does not publish download counts. Only the owner of an app can see downloads in App Store Connect. The total number of ratings is a rough public signal of popularity, but it is not a download count.
How many reviews does the tool show?
It loads up to about 150 of the most recent written reviews for the selected country. The average rating and total rating count come from the App Store's overall totals and include ratings with no written review.
Why is the rating different in each country?
Apple keeps ratings separately for each country's App Store. The country table on this page shows the average rating, rating count, price and version in 40 storefronts so you can compare them.
How can a developer see all of their apps and the latest updates?
Look up any one of your apps by its ID. The page automatically shows developer stats and every app from the same developer, sorted by most recent update, with ratings, version and price, and each app is one click away.
Does this tool work for Mac apps and other countries?
Yes. It checks iPhone and iPad listings first and also tries Mac apps. You can choose from 40 App Store countries, and if an app is not sold in the one you pick, the tool falls back to another storefront.
Is this tool affiliated with Apple?
No. It is an independent tool and is not affiliated with Apple. Apple and App Store are trademarks of Apple Inc.
