QR Code Studio — Support & User Guide

Welcome to the QR Code Studio support guide. This application is a lightweight, client-side, privacy-first tool for generating and organizing matrix codes. Because all code generation and data storage happen locally on your device, your private data never hits an external server.

Matrix Studio Modes Explained
To create a code, pick a format from the menu. Each template formats your text data into standard protocol strings that native iOS and Android cameras instantly recognize.

1. Website URL
Best Used For: Portfolios, landing pages, menus, or links. Smart Format: You can type plain domains. The studio automatically prepends https:// if a web protocol is missing, preventing broken links.

2. WiFi Network
Best Used For: Seamless guest network access without sharing raw passwords. Network Name (SSID): Must match your router's broadcasting name exactly. Security Types: WPA/WPA2 for standard modern routers, WEP for legacy setups, and No Password for open networks. Scanning Action: When scanned, devices will prompt users with a "Join Network" alert.

3. Contact Card (vCard)
Best Used For: Digital business cards and networking. Data Fields: Full Name, Phone Number, Email, and Website address targets. Scanning Action: Generates a universal vCard 3.0 payload structure. When scanned, it automatically opens the native Contacts app to save the pre-filled contact profile immediately.

4. Email Message
Best Used For: Feedback loops, RSVP submissions, or support desks. Data Fields: Target email, optional subject line, and a multi-line message body frame context. Scanning Action: Opens the native Mail client with the destination address, subject, and body text pre-populated and ready to send.

5. Calendar Event
Best Used For: Bookings, meetings, parties, or deadlines. Dynamic Time Setting: Changing the event's start time automatically shifts the end time forward by exactly one hour to speed up workflow configurations. Scanning Action: Prompts the user to instantly add the event block with the venue location details straight into their native calendar application.

6. SMS Text & Phone Call
Best Used For: Fast text-in campaigns or quick hotlines. SMS Text: Formats an sms: payload with target numbers and automated message body fields. Phone Call: Formats a direct tel: payload to pull open the phone's keypad pane instantly.

App Vault Folder Archive Management
The app features an integrated history vault designed to let you quickly present, update, or re-export your frequently used matrices.

Saving a Configuration
Tap the Save to App button right beneath your QR image preview workspace box.
A naming prompt will slide up. Input a recognizable name.
If you use a custom name that matches an existing record in your vault, the app will safely overwrite and update that record instead of adding a confusing duplicate.

Re-Editing and Updating Codes
If a network password changes or an event location is moved, you do not need to re-type everything:
Tap the My QR Codes navigation bar option.
Select your saved item from the list to view its presentation card.
Tap Edit Code Parameters at the bottom. This will automatically reconstruct all parameters back into your active studio workspace fields for editing.

Deleting Records
To clean up your archive, open the My QR Codes list view and simply swipe left on any row entry to reveal the red trash delete button.

Interaction Tip: Dismissing the Keyboard
When typing multi-line text bodies inside Email or SMS modes, hitting "Return" creates a new line rather than hiding the keyboard. To smoothly hide the keyboard, simply swipe downwards or tap anywhere on the background canvas spacing.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Where is my data sent?
Nowhere. The app is designed with a strict zero-trust, client-side privacy standard. Data configurations are translated directly into images using local device frameworks. Your history archive is encoded and kept secure locally on your device's isolated application sandbox (UserDefaults).

Why does the code show up as "Generating Matrix"?
This indicates that the input fields are completely clear. Type a character or link into the active inputs to immediately start live matrix compilation.

Why isn't my WiFi QR code connecting?
Ensure the network name (SSID) matches your router exactly, including uppercase/lowercase letters and spaces. Also, confirm you selected the correct security type (WPA/WPA2 vs WEP).
